In October, 2004 David Somers was given permission to set up a study group by his teacher, Nakamoto Masahiro Sensei. The Seishinkan serves as the headquarters of The Okinawa Dento Kobudo Hozon Kai-Beikoku Kenkyukai. The Kenkyukai was established, to preserve the teaching's of his in teacher Nakamoto Masahiro Sensei, as recieved from Taira Shinken Sensei, The Father of Modern Kobudo.
